If you already have an Aga cooker and feel
that it is in need of some tender loving care, then take heart
– John Cooper & Sons can restore it to its former glory!
Whether your Aga needs a complete overhaul, a fuel change, or
whether you are just tired of the colour and simply want to re-enamel
it, we can provide a comprehensive renovation service to meet
your specific requirements.
Our
Service
Once all the external castings
have been re-enamelled to the colour of your choice, and all the
other aspects of the renovation process have been completed, your
newly renovated Aga is fully re-assembled in our factory. Following
a full inspection under our strict quality control procedures,
the Aga is then dismantled, boxed and wrapped in readiness for
re-delivery to your site. We never deliver in one piece as this
can cause untold damage and will almost certainly affect the functioning
of your Aga.
Building
and Re-Commissioning On Your Site
Prices quoted include the
pick up, dismantling and transport to our factory in readiness
for renovation work. They also include the return to your site
after completion of the renovation work. Prices do NOT however
include (except in the case of re-enamelling top and lids only)
the final rebuild and re-commissioning on site. We are of course
able to organise this for you with one of 50 independent engineers
that we have certified to carry out such work on our behalf. You
can expect a seamless operation from pick up to re-installation.
As a general guide, the independent installers charge around £500
+ Vat for installing and commissioning a 2 oven Aga and £500
+ Vat for a 4 oven. These prices are estimates based on your site
being fully pre-prepared (i.e. Chimney lined or flue ready, roof
cowl fitted, plinth down, and fuel supply near the cooker).

and Guarantees
You can be assured that any independent
installer recommended by John Cooper & Sons will have had
a wealth of experience in building and commissioning our renovated
Agas.
We
are confident that all our recommended installers have the skills
experience, and formal qualifications (OFTEC and or CORGI registrations)
required in order for them to offer you a quality installation
and after service contract.
John
Cooper offer a 5 year guarantee on all their renovations. (one
year parts and labour and four years parts only).
John
Cooper have been in business for 45 years. During this period
we have sold, renovated, and installed 1,000's of renovated Aga
cookers.
Renovation Options For Your Own Aga
Option 1: FULL RENOVATION
BUT RE-ENAMELLING OF TOP AND LIDS ONLY (I.E. NO ENAMELLING OF
FRONT AND DOORS).
This includes all the services offered in
the Full Renovation Option 1 listed above, but excludes the re-enamelling
of your front and doors. However, re-enamelling of your top plate
and lid domes is included (if domes are chrome we replace them
for new).

Option 2: FACTORY ENGINEERED FUEL CHANGE ONLY
This consists of a fuel changeover as required
(please note this is a skilled factory fuel change which involves
some re-engineering to the internal workings of your Aga. By making
these changes we are able to guarantee that your Aga will yield
the correct oven temperature ranges and efficiencies. Also included
in this option is the shot blasting of the internal castings and
the replacement of the oven tunnels.

Option 3: RE-ENAMELLING OF FRONT, DOORS, TOP AND
LIDS ONLY
(I.E. NO INTERNAL RENOVATION OF THE AGA )
If you are happy with the internal workings
of your Aga but feel the exterior is in need of attention, this
option offers a re-enamelling only service. The enamelled parts
of your Aga are dismantled on site and returned to us for processing.
This option includes the re-enamelling of any solid lid domes
and lid rings and the replacement of chrome domes if the Aga is
a De-Luxe model. Also included are new side panels, new door linings,
new insulation materials and any required fixings in readiness
for rebuilding on site.

Option 4: RE-ENAMELLING OF FRONT PLATEAND DOORS
ONLY
(I.E. SIMILAR TO OPTION 4, BUT EXCLUDING RE-ENAMELLING
OF THE TOP PLATE AND LIDS )
With this option we simply offer you re-enamelling
of your front and doors only. Only the front plate and doors are
removed from site with the rest of the Aga left in situ. Included
in this option are new door linings and new insulation, together
with a pair of new side panels.

Option 5: RE-ENAMELLING OF TOP PLATE AND LIDS ONLY
This is one of the most popular
options and simply consists of the re-enamelling of your Aga top
plate and lids. On the Traditional model this will include the
re-enamelling of the old lid domes and/or replacement of these
with new chrome domes and lid rings if desired. On the De-Luxe
model the chrome domes will be replaced for new. This option includes
the re-fitting of the top and lids on site and the final re-commissioning
of your Aga after the job is completed.

In
cases where it is possible and practical to offer an exchange
of top we will do so. In these cases we will bring an identical
top to site and switch it with your own top. If this option can

Colour
Ranges
Please refer to the colour swatches for
a guide to the colours available for renovations. We are also
able to offer a highly personalised service to create any colour
of your choice outside of the above colour ranges. For a quotation

Cracked
Front, Top Plate, Inner or Outer Barrel
Should any of the above items be cracked
or significantly damaged John Cooper will liaise with you regarding
the repair or replacement of the item/s in question, at the lowest
possible cost to you. On occasion, this damage may not be identified
until just prior to re-delivery to you, during our quality control
process. John Cooper will advise you and seek instructions from
you with regard to their repair or replacement at this late stage.
However, John Cooper will not be held responsible for any delays
in the scheduled return date of your renovated Aga as a result
of any late determination of these faults as these are, unfortunately,
beyond our control. |
